Wire EDM services
Wire EDM for narrow slots, profiles and hardened conductive materials.
Wire electrical discharge machining removes conductive material without conventional cutting force. It can support intricate profiles and hardened parts, but corner radius, start holes, taper, surface condition and inspection still need to be defined.

Process fit
Use wire EDM where geometry or material makes cutting difficult
Wire EDM may be useful for hardened tool steel, precise cutouts, narrow slots and profiles that would be difficult to reach with a rotating tool. It is not automatically the best choice for every tight-tolerance feature.
- Conductive material required
- Through-profile and start-hole strategy
- Minimum internal radius linked to wire diameter
- Part thickness and taper reviewed together
Drawing definition
Specify the edge and surface that the application needs
Cut count, surface condition, recast-layer expectations and burr-sensitive edges can affect time and cost. Inspection should reference functional datums rather than only the cut outline.
- Critical profile and positional tolerances
- Surface-finish or skim-cut requirement
- Edge, recast-layer and cleaning notes
- Inspection alignment and report scope
Questions buyers ask
Technical answers before the RFQ.
Does MINGYU operate wire EDM in-house?
The production route and responsible facility are confirmed during RFQ review. This page describes process-selection support and does not claim an unverified machine inventory.
Can wire EDM cut aluminum or copper?
The material must be electrically conductive, but feasibility and stable cutting conditions still depend on alloy, thickness, geometry and required finish.
